What is Neuroma?
Neuroma is swelling of nerve or tissue around the nerve. Located in the ball of the foot, which usually occurs between the toes.
Causes:

Activities like running, skiing, ballet, and sports that amplify pressure repeatedly on the ball of the foot.

Shoes being too tight

High Heels

Flat Feet

High Arches
-
Bunions
-
Hammer Toes
Symptoms:

Swelling
-
Diffculty walking from pain

Burning Pain in the ball of the foot

Numbness in the toes
Treatments:
-
Placement of metatarsal pads by a specialist and given prescription,
-
Cortisone injections in the location of the pain.

Surgical removal of the Neuroma.
